Big Public Release is Approaching – How to Uninstall Diablo 3 (III) Beta Properly and Completely

The official release of Diablo 3 is just around the corner. On May 15, all the Diablo fans will be able to throw themselves into the infinite battlefield of Diablo 3. Now this Game can already be pre-ordered and pre-downloaded from Blizzard, BattleNet. For those player who has the Beta version installed, it is about time to uninstall Diablo 3 Beta to free more drive space on the computer and prepare for the May 15 public release.

Diablo 3 Beta – manual uninstall solution

Follow the below steps carefully, you’ll be able to uninstall Diablo 3 Beta from your system.
(For Windows users)
Step 1: Remove game folder

• Double click My Computer icon on the desktop.
• Navigate to the drive where you installed Diablo 3 Beta.
• Open the drive and locate Diablo 3 Beta installation folder
• Right click on the folder and select Delete

Tip: Some people may forget where they installed the game, for situation like this, simply right click on the game icon on the desktop and select Properties, then click Find Target button, and you’ll be able to locate installation folder of Diablo 3 Beta.

Step 2: Remove possible leftover files/folders
This steps is for ensuring that nothing about Diablo 3 Beta is left in the system

• Double click to open My Computer
• In the secondary menu, click “Search” button.

• Click the option of “All Files and Folders”

• Type in Diablo 3 Beta or Diablo (suggested) in the first blank and click “Search” button.

• Delete all the found files and folders related to the game beta

Step 3: Right click on Windows Recycle Bin and select “Empty Recycle Bin” to permanently remove all these files and folders of Diablo 3 Beta.

(For Mac users)
Step 1: Locate the folder of Applications, and delete the folder of “Diablo III Beta”
Step 2: Locate Library/Preferences and remove “com.blizzard.diablo3.plist”
Step 3: Locate Library/Caches/, find out the folder named com.blizzard.diablo3 and delete it to the Trash.
Step 4: At last delete the original Diablo III Beta installer in the Downloads folder
