Uninstall WhatsApp in Windows 10 – Specific Removal Guides
If you don’t know how to effectively uninstall WhatsApp in Windows, follow the instruction below to learn.
WhatsApp is a multi-device application that provides free messages, which means as long as you device is connected to the web, free communication is granted. Currently it supports iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Android and Nokia, etc. Other than the traditional text features, group chat, messages of image, voice and video are also available on WhatsApp.
You might haven’t realized that there isn’t any ads on this application, why? — “Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy s*** we don’t need.” According to Tyler Durden, Fight Club. But everything is based on an annual fee of $0.99.
If you need to uninstall WhatsApp and you’re not sure how to do that right, you may get some help through the reading.
Today I’m focusing on how to uninstall WhatsApp in Windows 10, the latest version that more and more people are using. The most operations are quite similar to those in Windows 8, which I’ve listed in the first subtitle started with “Method One.” Hopefully this instruction can be helpful to your situation.

2 Things You Might Need to Do Before You Uninstall WhatsApp & Other Programs
These two things apply to the removal of all the programs.
- Log in Windows as the Administrator
Removing programs from the operating systems requires the account you’re using has the Administrator rights, otherwise you will need to provide the permission password. Generally we’re using our computers with only one account, which is the default administrator. If that’s the case, then the account won’t be a problem. (How to check for Windows Administrator rights?)
- Shut Down Your Target Program
Without doing this, some programs may alert you during the removal that it’s running and the process will be stopped. Some will just let you finish the process, then you find it’s still running in the background. So it’s better to close the program before you start removing it. (How to Force a Program to Close?)

Method Three: Uninstall WhatsApp with Max Uninstaller
This should be another convenient way to uninstall WhatsApp. The tool supports all the popular versions of Windows, meaning you don’t need to figure out what steps you should take yourself. And no matter what program you’re choosing to remove, steps will always be the same:

Click Scan Leftovers when the button turns to green. This is to scan for the program’s vestiges, which will also be displayed in a list. You can review the list for details, then hit Delete Leftovers to fully uninstall WhatsApp.

Three WhatsApp Alternatives You Can Try
After you uninstall WhatsApp, if you are part of the crowd who do not like paying for messaging apps, take a look at these 3 awesome alternative free messaging apps you can try on iOS & Android devices:
It is very similar to WhatsApp as it uses mobile contact numbers to identity users. What’s unlike WhatsApp is that Viber allows you to all users, provided your smartphone is connected to the Internet.
LINE registers your phone number into its database where you can then connect with your phone contacts who are LINE users. An advantage of it is that it allows you to reply to messages by installing a PC/MacOS program, provided you register your number with an email account.
Shortly after Facebook acquired WhatsApp, the name WeChat was fregquently mentioned as another messaging behemoth. This platform had a much larger user group than that of WhatsApp. Isn’t that mind blowing?
