How to uninstall it manually

Step 1: Turn off Iminent and close its related process. Please refer to the below screenshot

Tip: you can open the Windows Task Manager by pressing Alt + Ctrl + Del key

Step 2: Uninstall Iminent and Iminent toolbar with Add/Remove program
From the all program menu, we can’t find any options to uninstall this program, so we need to apply the Add/Remove program.

• Click Start menu > go to Control Panel
• Select Add/Remove program.

• Locate and select Iminent program in the list and click Remove button

• Follow the prompt wizard to finish the removal.
• Back to the program list, select Iminent toolbar and click the Remove button again.

• Select the reason why you want to uninstall this program.

• Click “Next” button to continue

• Reboot your computer after you done the above steps.

Step 3: Delete registry leftover

The tricky part of Iminent is the registry entries it created after you installed it, in the location of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE, you can find a registry key named “Mircrosoft“, this registry key usually confuses users as it is similar to “Microsoft“, it would remain in your computer even you uninstalled the Iminent. We haven’t figure out what purpose this registry key was created for, but it is obvious that Iminent does not want us to recognize and delete it. Here is how to delete those keys:

• Go to Start > Run.
• Type in regedit in the run box, then click the “OK” button
• Find out the registry keys displayed in the below screenshots.

• Right click these keys, select Delete option in the appeared menu
• After you confirm that all the related keys are deleted, close the registry editor and restart the computer.

Note: Registry operation is risk-involved, you can go to File menu of the registry editor and select Export to create a copy of registry backup, you can use the backup file to restore the registry to avoid problems caused by mistaken operation.
