Steps to Remove ClixSense Toolbar And Stop ClixSense.com Infection

ClixSense Toolbar is a typical malware which will hijack web browser homepage, alter it to search.conduit.com, your browser default search engine will be replaced as ClixSense.com, also, it display advertisements and sponsored links when you are conducting search action which is pretty annoying, and your search queries will also be collected stealthily. Part 1: Remove ClixSense Toolbar from your computer

• Click Start button of your computer, go to Control Panel.
• Open Add/Remove program, select ClixSense.com Toolbar and click Remove button.

• Once the default uninstaller is activated, you will be prompted “Are you sure you want to uninstall the toolbar?”, click OK to proceed.

• In the next step, select the option of “restore my original settings” and click OK.

• Once the removal is done, a website will pop up telling you “The software was uninstalled successfully”. Simply close the website, and the first part of the ClixSense Toolbar removal is done. For FireFox

• Open your FireFox browser, click the orange Firefox button at the right side of the top, in the pull-down menu, click Add-ons.

• Go to extension tab, locate ClixSense.com and click Remove button.

• Click this link to access to SearchReset (an Add-on provide by FireFox team to help users to reset browser search preference and homepage to default value)
• Simply click on “Add to FireFox” and follow the given instruction to finish the installation.

For Internet Explorer

• Open your IE browser, click the gear icon at the right side of the top.
• In the appeared menu, click on Internet Options.
• Click the Advanced tab, and you’ll find the Reset button, click it.

• Check the Delete personal settings box, and then click Reset and your browser settings will be restored to default.
• After the resetting is done, click Close button and then click OK.
• Re-open your IE.

For Google Chrome
1. Remove ClixSense Toolbar extensions.

• Click the menu button on the top right of Chrome browser.
• Click Tools > Extensions
• In the Extension section, locate ClixSense.com, click the trash can button to conduct the removal. (if you found any unknown or unwanted extension, remove them as well)

2. Restore the default search engine.

• Click Chrome menu button, go to Settings > Manage search engine.
• In the appeared search engine dialog box, select Google and click Make Default button.
• Locate the Conduit in the list, and then remove it from the list by clicking the X button.

3. Reset the homepage of Chrome browser from search.conduit.com

• Click the menu button again, click Settings.
• In the ‘On start up’ section in the setting page, click “Open the new tab page”.

Alternative solution – Remove ClixSense Toolbar completely with Max Uninstaller (Recommended)
