Uninstall/Remove GoToMyPC Completely – How to Guide
GoToMyPC is a program allows you to remotely control your primary Mac or PC from places like office, net bar through network to transfer and sync files, open and edit files, or use any program you want. Step 1: Close GoToMyPC program
Open Windows Task Manager, click process tab, disable all the related process (you can refer to the below screenshot) by clicking on the process name then click “End Process” .
Step 2: Delete installation folder
- Go to Start > My Computer
- Navigate to the drive where you install GoToMyPC
- Right click on the folder name “Expertcity” and select “Delete”
- Right click on the Windows Recycle Bin and select “Empty the recycle bin”
Step 3: Delete registry leftovers
- Click Start > Run
- Type regedit in the box and press Enter
- Click File menu in the Registry Editor and click Export option
- In the Export Range section, click “All”
- Select a location to store the backup file.
- Rename the file if necessary, then click “Save” button.
- Navigate the registry tree branch and locate the directory of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
- Right click to delete the folder of Expertcity
- Close the Registry Editor and reboot your computer.
Note: Registry Edition is dangers involved, make sure to confirm twice before you delete the registry key. If unfortunately you deleted a wrong key, use the File – Import to restore the registry.
